Choose Strukt AI if your floor plan is a PDF, an image, a hand sketch or a DWG, or if you need IFC, DAE or BLEND files as well as GLB. Choose Maket if you already have DXF exports from a CAD tool and want a free, instant conversion without a plan limit, where you can see and correct exactly which layer became walls, doors, windows and rooms. Both run in the browser, both offer orbit and first-person walk, and both export GLB.

How each works

Maket

Maket reads geometry, not pictures. A DXF is a set of lines, arcs, polylines and text grouped into layers, so Maket assigns each layer a role: wall, door, window, room, text, decor or ignore. Common layer names such as A-WALL, WALL, A-DOOR, A-GLAZ, WINDOW and A-AREA, and Turkish equivalents such as DUVAR, KAPI and PENCERE, are recognised automatically. When names are unusual, the busiest line layer is treated as walls and you fix the rest in the Layers panel, where each change rebuilds the scene instantly.

From there the rules are explicit. Parallel double lines are merged into thick walls, single lines on a wall layer become thin partitions, arcs become doors attached to the nearest wall and cut into it, window geometry is cut in as openings, and closed polygons become rooms with names and areas. Units come from the DXF header, or Maket guesses from the drawing size and tells you its guess. A floor height slider sets the wall height.

Plans live in projects: a project is one building, and each floor is a plan with a floor index. The conversion runs in the browser in seconds, and you can orbit, walk in first person with the keyboard, save the plan with its layer settings, and export GLB. The yesilcam CLI (maket analyze, maket create, maket save) and the MCP server do the same from a script or an assistant.

Strukt AI

Strukt AI is one of the new AI converters that read a plan as an image or document. According to its own blog, it accepts PDF, DWG, PNG, JPG and hand sketches, builds a 3D model you can orbit or walk through in first person in the browser, and exports GLB, DAE, BLEND and IFC. Its free tier includes 10 floor plans, with conversion and 3D export included; credits are used only for AI renders.

Two caveats from our research: Strukt AI's paid plan prices are not published in a form we could verify, and we found no independent reviews of its accuracy. Every Strukt AI claim on this page comes from the vendor's own pages.

Pricing in detail

Maket is free, with no plan limit. Conversion runs locally in the browser and does not use tokens from your Yeşilçam Studios wallet; saving projects and plans is included in your account. A practice converting 40 floors a year pays nothing, and so does one converting 400.

Strukt AI is free for 10 floor plans. The 11th plan needs a paid plan whose price is not published, so we cannot give a per-plan cost. AI renders use credits on any tier.

Worked example: a three-storey house is 3 plans. On both tools that is free. A small office portfolio of four buildings with three floors each is 4 × 3 = 12 plans, which is 2 over Strukt AI's free tier and still free on Maket.

Where Strukt AI is better

  • It reads what most people actually have. PDFs, scans, photos, hand sketches and DWG all go in. Maket reads plans as DXF, SVG, GeoJSON/IMDF or JSON, plus ready-made 3D models such as GLB, OBJ and FBX, but not DWG; a PDF or image carries no geometry for it to read.
  • More export formats. IFC matters if the model is going into a BIM workflow, and DAE and BLEND save a conversion step for Blender users. Maket exports GLB only.
  • AI renders. Strukt AI offers AI renders on credits. Maket has no rendering or furnishing features.
  • No CAD needed. A home owner or estate agent without CAD software can start from a picture of the plan.

Where Maket is better

  • No plan limit. Free for every plan, not the first 10.
  • Transparent, correctable conversion. You see which layer became walls, doors, windows or rooms, and correct a wrong role with one change and an instant rebuild. With clean layers the result follows the drawing exactly, because it reads the drawn geometry rather than inferring it from pixels.
  • Units and scale. Units come from the DXF header, and when they are missing Maket shows its guess, so scale errors are visible rather than silent.
  • Projects with floors. One project per building, one plan per floor with a floor index, and soft delete so support can restore a plan. Strukt AI's multi-floor handling is not documented in our sources.
  • Automation. The CLI and MCP server can analyse a DXF, create a project and save floors without opening the browser.
  • Documented rules. The layer names it recognises and the rules it applies are documented in our guides, so a practice can prepare drawings that convert cleanly every time.

Other options with GLB or image input

If neither fits, two other tools from our research are worth knowing. Archilogic converts JPG, PNG, PDF, DXF and DWG with people checking the result within two business days and exports GLTF and IFC, but it costs $329 per conversion on its Starter plan, so a three-floor building is 3 × $329 = $987. Aginera reads a PDF or image up to 50 MB, detects rooms, walls, doors and windows, and offers 5 free analyses and a $19 walkthrough video, but it does not state any model-file export.

Maket does not claim a stacked building view that lets you walk between floors; floors are separate plans in the same project.

Who should choose which

Pick Strukt AI if you start from a PDF, image, sketch or DWG you cannot re-export, if you need IFC for BIM, or if you want AI renders from the same tool. It is also the practical choice for people who do not use CAD at all.

Pick Maket if you work in CAD and can export DXF, convert more than a handful of plans, want to control the conversion layer by layer, or need to script it. A good habit is to name layers once at the source, keep dimensions and hatching off the wall layer, and export each floor with the same origin.

Frequently asked

Do both export GLB? Yes. Maket exports GLB; Strukt AI exports GLB, DAE, BLEND and IFC.

Can Maket read a PDF, image or DWG plan? No. Maket reads plans as DXF (including binary), SVG, GeoJSON/IMDF and JSON, and opens 3D models such as GLB, OBJ, FBX and STL, but not PDF, images or DWG. Save a DWG as DXF from AutoCAD, BricsCAD, ZWCAD, DraftSight or GstarCAD at no cost, or use an image-reading tool such as Strukt AI.

How much does Strukt AI cost after the free tier? Its paid plan prices are not published in a form we could verify. The free tier covers 10 floor plans with conversion and 3D export.

Is the conversion accurate? Maket follows the geometry in the DXF, so accuracy depends on clean layers and closed wall corners, and wrong roles can be corrected in the Layers panel. We found no independent accuracy reviews of Strukt AI.
