Machines read layer names before they read geometry. A consistent naming scheme means your plan converts cleanly everywhere, not just in Maket.

Recognised patterns

  • Walls: A-WALL, WALL, DUVAR
  • Doors: A-DOOR, DOOR, KAPI
  • Windows: A-GLAZ, WINDOW, PENCERE
  • Rooms: A-AREA, ROOM, MAHAL
  • Text and dimensions: A-ANNO-TEXT, A-DIMS (ignored as geometry)

Rules that help

One role per layer. Do not mix doors and windows. Keep furniture on its own layer so it can be decor, not walls. Set units in the drawing header.

When names are unusual

Maket falls back to the busiest line layer as walls and lets you fix roles in a panel. Fine for a one-off; for a practice, rename once and forget it.
