How each one works
Kling AI is the consumer studio for Kuaishou's Kling 3.0 and 3.0 Omni video models, with image models, sound, motion control and avatars. You generate clips of 3 to 15 seconds; Multi-Shot lets an AI Director vary camera angles within one generation, and Custom Multi-Shot sets duration, framing and camera per shot. Elements keep characters consistent from reference images, and in 3.0 Omni a character's voice can be bound to its appearance. Native audio covers dialogue, effects and lip movement in five languages, with dialects and code-switching. An AI Video Editor, Canvas and video extension are available; a full timeline for assembling a film is unverified.
Yeşilçam Studios starts from a written story. In Story to film you paste the text and choose a style, a length and a quality tier. A director writes the screenplay and casts up to five characters as reference sheets; only those steps are charged up front. On the Ready screen you see the exact production price and can change any scene before confirming. The studio then renders a keyframe per scene from the cast sheets, animates it, records narration and dialogue, generates music and edits one MP4. Characters are saved and can be reused in later films or built into character bibles for a series.
Pricing, with the arithmetic
Kling 3.0 is priced per second: 12 credits at 1080p with native audio, 8 without, 9 and 6 at 720p, 30 for native 4K. The figures below are for 240 seconds of raw video with every clip working first time.
- 1080p with native audio: 12 × 240 = 2,880 credits, inside Pro's 3,000 with 120 to spare. Cost: $32.56 a month ($25.99 the first month), about $0.13 per second.
- 720p without audio: 6 × 240 = 1,440 credits. Standard's 660 is too small, so Pro again.
- Native 4K: 30 × 240 = 7,200 credits, which needs Premier's 8,000 at $80.96.
- Retakes: Pro has no room for any. At two takes per shot the 1080p-with-audio film needs 5,760 credits, so Premier ($80.96, 8,000 credits) becomes the realistic tier.
Yeşilçam's cost for a 4-minute anime film with automatic scenes and music, estimated from our published per-operation prices, is $33.99 (Draft), $44.83 (Standard), $58.88 (Cinema) or $151.28 (Cinema Pro) of tokens on Pro, covering screenplay, cast sheets, keyframes, video, narration, music and assembly. With a Power Pack: $25.47, $33.59, $44.11 and $113.33; on Basic: $38.63, $50.95, $66.91 and $171.91. One Pro month (15 million tokens) covers about 2.9 Draft, 2.2 Standard or 1.7 Cinema films of this length. The Draft film uses about 6.44 million tokens on Basic, more than Basic's 5 million a month, so on Basic it takes the $30 plan plus a pack. Lip sync adds 29,167 tokens per spoken line (about $0.15 on Pro). Regenerating a scene is charged; failures are refunded.
Per raw second, Kling gives more for the money. Its 1080p clips with native audio cost about $0.13 a second on Pro, the same as Yeşilçam's Draft tier ($1.29 per 10-second clip on Pro), which has no native audio, and less than Yeşilçam Standard ($0.17) or Cinema ($0.23).
Where Kling AI is better
- Native dialogue and lip movement in five languages, generated with the picture. Yeşilçam's lip sync is a separate step that depends on one provider and falls back to voice only.
- Clip length. Up to 15 seconds per generation, against Yeşilçam's 10 (Draft and Standard) or 8 (Cinema).
- Resolution. Native 4K on paid plans. Yeşilçam does not claim native 4K video.
- Multi-shot generation and voice-bound characters at model level.
- Raw price per second, as shown above, and a low-cost entry plan.
Where Yeşilçam is better
- The whole chain in one run. Screenplay, cast, scenes, narration, voices, music and edit, without stitching 15-second clips together. Reviewers note that Kling's 15-second cap still needs stitching.
- Any story language for narration. Narration and lines follow the language of the story, including Turkish, rather than a fixed list of five.
- Six-language interface including Turkish; none of the competitor pages we checked listed a Turkish interface.
- Exact price before production and automatic refunds when a job fails on Yeşilçam's side. Reviewers point to Kling's per-second iteration costs.
- Automation through Claude. An MCP server and CLI that drive the studio with the same wallet as the app.
Who should choose which
If your film depends on on-screen dialogue in Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean or Spanish, or you need 4K and 15-second takes, Kling AI is the stronger and cheaper clip generator, and you will assemble the film yourself. If you start from a story, want a narrator and music around consistent characters, work in another language, or want a price before you spend, Yeşilçam delivers the finished film in one run.
Frequently asked
Is Kling AI cheaper than Yeşilçam for a 4-minute film? For raw video, yes: 2,880 credits of 1080p with native audio fits the $32.56 Pro plan, with no room for retakes. Yeşilçam's $33.99 to $151.28 on Pro costs more, and includes the screenplay, cast sheets, keyframes, narration, music and editing.
Which languages can characters speak? Kling's native audio covers Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean and Spanish. Yeşilçam produces narration and spoken lines in the language the story is written in.
Can Kling keep the same character across scenes? Yes, with Elements built from two to four reference images, and voice-bound characters in 3.0 Omni. Yeşilçam uses cast sheets and character bibles and renders a keyframe from them before every clip.
Can I use Kling output commercially on the free plan? No. Kling's free plan is watermarked and not for commercial use; paid plans include commercial use.
