Yeşilçam Animation is a new studio inside Yeşilçam Studios that turns a few sentences into an animated film, an interactive book or an explorable lab, in 19 different AI animation styles. You describe what it should tell, pick a style, and watch a preview in your browser within minutes; when you like it, the server renders an MP4, WebP or GIF. Today it is open to everyone, including the free plan.

This post is the tour: what we built, why there are so many styles, what the form asks of you, and where we would start if we were you.

Why one studio with 19 styles

When we looked at what people actually made in Film Studio, a large share of it was not live-action at all. It was bedtime stories, product explainers, lesson openers, channel intros, looping backgrounds for a shop window. Those jobs do not need a realistic camera; they need a look, and they need it quickly and cheaply. A single “animation” button would have forced one aesthetic onto all of them. So we built a studio where the style is the first decision, and each style is its own small engine with its own strengths.

Some of the styles are procedural: the picture is drawn in code in your browser, so there is nothing to wait for and very little to pay. Others use a video model to animate scenes with your own characters. Two of them are not videos at all but interactive pages you share by link. What they have in common is the form, the preview and the honest pricing.

The 19 styles at a glance

  • Inkmation turns a story into a brush-drawn animated film; the AI writes the screenplay, the narration and the music.
  • Foliomation makes layered paper-cut short films with your own character, parallax depth, snow, stars or fireflies, and word-by-word subtitles.
  • Papercraft builds paper landscapes layer by layer; no images are generated, so it is economical.
  • Dioramation assembles low-poly floating 3D islands with windmills, lighthouses and waterfalls, lit from day to sunset to night.
  • Typemation is kinetic typography timed to the narration: the text is the content.
  • Fluxmation is shader-driven fluid ink and marble art that never repeats.
  • Puppetmation animates jointed paper puppets that walk, jump, wave and sit.
  • Popbook is an interactive pop-up book for children, built around a value such as courage, sharing or patience.
  • Labmation builds an interactive lab that teaches one concept, running in a secure sandbox in the browser.
  • The Cinemation family, ten looks with your own characters, narration and music: Wuxiamation, Celmation, Neonmation, Toymation, Toonmation, Shadowmation, Pixelmation, Panelmation, Claymation and Postermation. Eight of them are animated by a video model; Shadowmation and Pixelmation are drawn by a 2.5D animation engine.

How a production works

  1. Open Animation from the menu and pick a style. Most styles have a sample you can watch before you commit.
  2. Fill in What should it tell? with a story, topic or message in a few sentences. If you are stuck, Write a story with Sam drafts one for a small token cost.
  3. Choose the aspect (16:9, 9:16 or 1:1), the length (anywhere from 10 to 120 seconds) and the tier: Professional is fast and economical, Premium brings the best story and scene craft.
  4. In character styles, add up to four Characters and pick the Speech mode: Narrator, Dialogue, Both or Silent.
  5. Check the Estimated cost, press Create, and watch the stages move from “The director is writing the scenes” to Ready.
  6. Play the preview in the browser. When it is right, press Get video and choose MP4, WebP or GIF.

The preview plays in your browser, so you can judge pacing, voices and pictures before you spend anything on a file. The final video is rendered on our servers, and that render is billed by real server time, then settled.

Characters, dialogue and voices

A lot of this launch is about people, or foxes, or robots, that stay themselves. In the Cinemation styles, Foliomation and Puppetmation you can give each character a name and a short description of the look, or upload a reference image. The names are used in the story and the dialogue, and when you upload an image, the drawings follow it. Each character can have its own voice.

In the Cinemation styles, each speaking character keeps the same voice in every scene. In the eight video-model looks the speaking character’s mouth is also lip-synced to that voice; Shadowmation and Pixelmation voice the lines and caption the speaker, without mouth animation. Pricing you can read before you start

Every production is priced in tokens before you press anything, with an itemised estimate: director, images, narration, music, animation. The note under it says plainly that the price is the providers’ real cost plus a 40% service fee. The estimate is a ceiling. When the job finishes we measure what it actually used and refund the difference automatically, and a failed job is refunded in full.

Styles that generate no images, namely Papercraft, Typemation, Fluxmation and Dioramation, cost noticeably less. If you want to learn the studio without watching your balance, start there.

What is in the free plan

Animation is included in the free plan, which comes with 250,000 tokens a month. Free outputs carry a small, semi-transparent Yeşilçam Studios logo in the bottom-right corner; subscribers get clean files. Where we would start

If you have never used an AI animation tool, make a 30-second Papercraft or Dioramation piece first. It teaches you the form, costs very little and shows the preview-then-render rhythm. Then take a short story you already have, add two characters in a Cinemation look such as Celmation or Toonmation, and try the Dialogue mode. That second film is where the studio starts to feel like a studio.
