The Long video tab in AI Influencer Studio turns a topic, a few notes or a finished script into one video between 15 seconds and 10 minutes long, presented by your AI influencer. Sam drafts a storyboard chapter by chapter, you edit it, check the quote and start production. This guide walks through the whole process.
What do I need before I start?
A character, ideally with its voice and language set (see the talking video guide), and something to say. Product photos and screenshots of your app or website are optional but make product and screen shots possible. Open /app/influencer/long and choose "New long video".
Step 1: content and settings
- Character: the influencer who appears and speaks. Voice and language come from the character's saved settings.
- Content: a topic, notes or a ready script, up to 6,000 characters. The more detail you give, the more accurate the storyboard. If you paste a finished script, Sam splits it into shots without rewriting it. "Improve with Sam" rewrites your text in the character's language for the length you choose; it is charged by actual usage and you can undo it.
- Format: "Talking only" (the character speaks to camera throughout) or "Talking + cutaways" (the character speaks, and shots related to the topic, your products and your screens appear in between while the narration continues).
- Talk / visual balance: in the mixed format, a slider sets the share of talking shots. Leave it on "Let Sam decide" and Sam chooses a balance and explains why.
- Length: 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10 minutes.
- Aspect ratio: 9:16, 16:9 or 1:1.
- Tier: Economy or Premium. Premium gives higher image quality and more detail. In Economy, the talking share in the mixed format is at most 40%.
- Product images and screenshots: up to four of each. Product shots use your product images; screen shots show your screenshot with a slow zoom.
- Music: none, or one of six styles (Upbeat, Lo-fi, Cinematic, Electronic, Acoustic, Luxury). Music is lowered automatically under speech.
- Subtitles: speech and narration are written into the video as subtitles. They are added for languages written in Latin, Cyrillic and Greek script; Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Hindi and Arabic videos are delivered without subtitles for now.
- End card: your own title, a second line and an optional logo, shown for a few seconds at the end. It is your card, not a Yeşilçam card.
- Exclusions and an email when the video is ready, both optional.
Which lengths are available on my plan?
Videos up to 30 seconds in Economy are open on every plan, including Free, paid in tokens. Videos longer than 30 seconds and the Premium tier need Basic or Pro. Videos longer than one minute need Pro. The form shows a lock and the required plan before you plan anything.
Step 2: the storyboard
Choose "Create storyboard". Sam writes a continuity file (the look, outfit, tone, lighting and palette that must stay the same in every shot), splits the video into chapters, scenes and shots, and writes a caption and hashtags for posting. For long videos this can take a few minutes, and you can leave the page meanwhile. The Sam fee is an estimate taken up front; you are charged only for actual usage and the rest is returned. If the storyboard cannot be made, the tokens are refunded.
You can then change everything: chapter titles, scenes, shot types, lines, visual descriptions and durations, and you can add, delete or reorder shots. How to edit well is covered in the storyboard and continuity guide. Save your changes; the quote is final when saved.
Step 3: preview frames (optional)
"Create preview frames" shows the first frame of each shot before production. You see the cost first, and frames that are still valid are not charged again during production. It is the cheapest way to catch a wrong location or outfit before you pay for video.
Step 4: quote and production
The quote shows the total, the cost per chapter, music and preview frames, the length and the talking share, plus an estimated production time. When you start, only the first chapter (and the music) is charged; each later chapter is charged when it starts. If your balance runs short in the middle, production pauses and shows how many tokens are needed to continue. Top up and choose "Continue".
You can follow the progress chapter by chapter and watch a preview of each finished chapter. You can leave the page; if you ticked the email option you get a message when the video is ready.
What do I get at the end?
One finished video in your library, with a caption and hashtags you can copy, and a download button. If some shots could not be made, their tokens are refunded and the video is assembled without them; you can regenerate those shots and reassemble. Reassembling is free. If you cancel production, chapters that have not started are not charged, unstarted shots in the running chapter are refunded, and finished chapters stay so you can still assemble a video from them. Deleting a project removes the project and storyboard; videos you already made stay in your library.
What does a long video cost?
There is no fixed price per minute because every storyboard is different. The quote adds up the parts: talking shots per second (base 45,559 tokens per second), a start frame for each scene, frames and motion for cutaway, product and character shots, the character's narration per 100 characters, Sam's planning and a small consistency check per shot, and music if chosen. Screen shots cost only their narration, because the screenshot itself is shown as it is. Subtitles, the end card and assembly are free. Your plan multiplier applies to everything (Pro ×0.8, Basic ×1, Free ×1.3) and the total is shown before you start.
Frequently asked
Can I use a script I already wrote? Yes. Paste it into Content. Sam splits it into shots at sentence boundaries without rewriting it; use "Improve with Sam" only if you want it rewritten.
Will my influencer look the same for ten minutes? That is what the continuity file and scene frames are for: every talking shot in a scene starts from the same approved frame instead of copying the previous shot, so small changes do not pile up over a long video.
What if I run out of tokens halfway? Production pauses before the next chapter starts. Nothing is lost; add tokens and choose "Continue".
Can I make long videos automatically on a schedule? Yes, with influencer automation, which uses the same long video engine.
