The most common complaint about generated films is that the hero looks different in every scene. The character bible fixes that by giving each character a locked identity that every generation step reads.
What is in a bible
- Reference faces: up to four images that define the look.
- Wardrobe and props: what they wear and carry by default.
- Voice: the voice used for lines and lip sync.
- Poses and variants: full body, waist up, alternate outfits.
When to build one
Build a bible for any character that appears in more than two scenes. For a walk-on, a single reference image is enough. The full bible is the most expensive single operation in the studio, so create it once and reuse it across films.
How scenes use it
When a scene lists a character, the generator receives the bible's references and constraints. Prompts should describe the action and the setting, not the character's face; the bible handles the face.
Fixing drift
If a scene still drifts, regenerate that scene with the character explicitly selected, or add a pose variant that matches the camera angle. Upgrading the bible adds more variants without rebuilding it.
