A finished Website Studio site can be kept private, made public, or downloaded as a ZIP to host anywhere. Every new site starts private: only you can see it, from inside the app. Switching it to public gives it a fixed address that anyone with the link can open and search engines may list.
This guide assumes your site is built. If not, start with building a site from your Assemble video.
Where do you manage a site?
Open Website Studio at /app/website. Each site card shows its status (In progress, Ready, Failed, Repackaging or Removed), a visibility switch, and quick buttons to preview, copy the link and download the ZIP. Opening a site shows the detail page with an embedded preview you can switch between Desktop and Mobile, and buttons for Open in new tab, Download ZIP, Edit and Delete.
What is the difference between private and public?
| Only you (private) | Public | |
|---|---|---|
| Who can open it | Only you, from inside the app | Anyone with the link |
| Search engines | Told not to index the page | May list the page |
| Link | Preview link valid for 2 hours; a new one opens from the app | Fixed address that does not expire |
| Footer badge | None | "Made with Yeşilçam Studios" and "Report this page" |
Private is the right state while you review the copy or show a draft to a colleague over your shoulder. When the preview link expires, simply open the preview again from the app to get a fresh one.
How do you make a site public?
- Open the site in Website Studio and check it once on Desktop and once on Mobile.
- Switch the visibility from Only you to Public.
- Press "Copy link" and share the address.
The public address lives under yesilcamstudios.com and stays the same across later edits. You can switch the site back to private at any time; the public link then stops working until you make it public again.
How do you download the site as a ZIP?
When the site is Ready, press "Download ZIP". The archive contains the whole site: the page, the video frames, images and scripts. Upload the contents to any static hosting or your own server and the page works there under your domain. Downloading does not change the visibility of the hosted copy, and the ZIP is available whether the site is private or public.
A practical pattern is to keep the hosted copy private for review, then download the ZIP and publish it on your own domain, so the page sits next to your shop or main site.
How do you edit the copy after the site is built?
Press Edit on the detail page. The fields are grouped as Opening, Sections, Contact, Theme and Search engines, and cover every text on the page: top line, headline, subheadline, buttons, features and part names, story, specifications, gallery captions, FAQ, contact section, footer note, and the page title and description.
- Change the texts you want. The app warns you if you have unsaved changes.
- Press "Save and repackage". The site status shows Repackaging.
- When it is Ready again, the new version is live at the same address and in the ZIP.
Repackaging after edits is free. If repackaging cannot be completed, the previous version stays live, so a failed edit never takes your page down. Each repackage adds a version number you can see on the detail page.
Hosted link or ZIP: which should you use?
- Hosted public link: the fastest way to share in ads, social posts and emails. After an edit and repackage, the same link shows the new version.
- ZIP on your own domain: the page lives next to your shop, under your address and your own analytics. The ZIP is a snapshot, so after an edit you download the new ZIP and upload it again.
- Private: for reviewing copy and design before anything goes out.
Can you trace which video a site came from?
Yes. The detail page shows the source: the Assemble / Disassemble video the site was built from, and from the video you can see everything made from it. The guide on source links explains this view.
What do removal and reporting mean?
Public pages carry a "Report this page" link that opens the contact page with the page pre-selected. A site that breaks the rules can be removed by the platform. A removed site shows the Removed status, its link stops working, and its owner cannot make it public again. Deleting a site yourself removes it from your list and its preview link stops working; this cannot be undone.
What does it cost to keep a site online?
As of October 2026 there is no separate monthly charge for keeping a site in Website Studio. You pay once when the site is built (frames, package and hosting, copywriting and any generated images), and editing and repackaging are free. If the build fails, the tokens are refunded. Current prices are on the pricing page.
Frequently asked
Will my private site show up in search results? No. Private pages tell search engines not to index them, and they can only be opened from inside the app with a link that expires after 2 hours.
Does the public address change when I edit the copy? No. After "Save and repackage" the new version replaces the old one at the same address.
Can I host the site on my own domain? Yes. Download the ZIP and upload its contents to any static hosting or web server.
Is repackaging after edits charged? No. Editing the copy and theme and repackaging are free, and the previous version stays live if repackaging fails.
What happens if someone reports my page? The report reaches the platform team through the contact page. If the page breaks the rules it can be removed; otherwise nothing changes.
